| 2011 CROP STORAGE RATES AND POLICIES
Corn and Soybean storage rates are as follows: Minimum storage charge through March 31st, 2012 is 20¢ per bushel. Storage charge beginning April 1st, 2012 is 2¢ per bushel per month.
The monthly fee is calculated and charged on the first day of each month. Storage is due and payable at the time of settlement, except that it must be prepaid if grain is placed under government loan.
Shrink and Drying Policies: Corn delivered for harvest sale will have a base moisture of 15%. Corn delivered to be stored will have a base moisture of 14%. Corn shrink is calculated at the rate of 1.4% per 1% of moisture over the base moisture. Corn drying charges are 2¢ per bushel for each 1/2% moisture over the base moisture. Corn moisture and discounts are calculated separately for each load. Drying charges will be billed after harvest and will be due the following January 15th, except for loan corn, which will be due when the warehouse receipt is issued.
Soybeans will be shrunk to 13% at the rate of 1.15% per 1/2% of moisture over 13%. Soybean moisture and discounts are calculated separately for each load. We reserve the right to reject any soybeans having a moisture content over 15%.
Quality Discounts:
Soybean foreign material over 1% will be deducted from the weight of the affected load. Total broken corn and foreign material discount is 1¢ per bushel for each 1% over 3%, up to 7%. Over 7%, the discount is 2¢ per bushel for each 1% Corn damage in excess of 5.0% will be discounted 1¢ per bushel for each 1% over 5%. Insect infested grain will be discounted 5¢ per bushel on the affected load. It is a federal offense to deliver treated grain or seed to our facility!
